The first survey, by Nat le Roux (former trustee and key benefactor of the Rollright Trust) in many ways set a benchmark against which others could be developed building on Nat’s experience of how best to structure questionnaires in a way that would not be too off-putting and yet elicit useful information about visitors impressions and expectations.  

The most recent survey, by Cristina Mosconi (2014) repeated some of the previous survey but also in the context of developing an app for the Stones, explored people’s attitude to what information is presented and how, discovering a substantial interest in digital platforms.
